Ted Feierstein is a senior vice president in the corporate finance group. He joined First Analysis in 2007 and brings over 25 years of experience working with software, Internet, and business services companies. His experience ranges from investment banker where he has completed 30+ sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, to venture capital partner where he participated in growth-stage and follow-on financings, to hands-on operating experience in two venture-capital-backed software companies. Prior to joining First Analysis, he offered investment banking and advisory services through his firm, Ascent Partners. He continues to be a venture partner in the Prism Opportunity Fund. Prior to Ascent, he was a senior investment banker at the Corum Group and an investment manager at Wind Point Partners. His software industry experience came from two venture-capital-backed companies: Jonas and Erickson Software Technology and Timberline Software, where he held general and sales management roles. He serves on the boards of ARI and Penta Technologies. He is a co-founder of the IT Association of Wisconsin (ITAWi) and Silicon Pastures (an angel network). He received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
