The company targeted the self-insured employer (SIE) segment of the rapidly growing disease management market. As employers struggle with how to affordably provide health coverage, many are becoming self-insured and are looking for the kinds of solutions FutureHealth provided to help reduce costs. FutureHealth was acquired by Nationwide (Nyse: NSF) in 2006.
