Kontiki Inc. was an independent software vendor that developed, marketed, and sold a product that enabled video and other large files to be transmitted over IP-based networks more cost effectively than traditional hardware and content delivery network alternatives. It used its technology to enable its customers to organize and deliver large, high quality video files over the Internet. In 2006 it was acquired by VeriSign.
