SterilMed

SterilMed Inc. was one of three leading reprocessors of single-use medical devices. FDA regulation implemented primarily in 2002 prevents hospitals from reprocessing such devices without approvals. SterilMed had the most approvals for reprocessing devices of any company, positioning it to provide the most savings for hospital customers. SterilMed was also the only company with an FDA-cleared, reprocessable compression sleeve rented to hospitals. Johnson & Johnson acquired SterilMed in 2011.
