CHICAGO, May 2, 2012— Chicago-based First Analysis Securities Corporation announced Rick Conklin has joined the firm as a Managing Director. This move expands First Analysis's investment banking practice and its commitment to advising premier companies in the firm's health-care productivity, information technology, and clean-tech sectors.
Mr. Conklin has 25 years of investment banking experience serving multiple industry verticals. Prior to joining First Analysis, he spent four years as a Managing Director at Robert W. Baird & Co., where he headed the firm's private placement efforts and equity capital markets coverage of the real estate and industrial sectors. Prior to Baird, Mr. Conklin was a Principal at William Blair & Co., where he spent seven years managing the firm's efforts in capital raising for small-cap public companies across industry groups. He also spent seven years combined in the real estate industry, most recently as Managing Director of Investment Management at ProLogis (NYSE: PLD) and Senior Vice President and Head of Equity Capital Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL). He has completed over 100 M&A, private placement, and public offering transactions with a gross value in excess of $15 billion. Mr. Conklin holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
